This is a rhapsody of ghost stories. Indonesia is moving its capital from Jakarta to Nusantara, a brand-new city in Borneo. A Chinese-born anthropology student collected supernatural stories from communities around the construction site. She encountered the tales of local ancestors, the spirit of the first president, and unexpected ghosts of her own. Who are the specters haunting the construction? And what do the “ghosts”think?
